Stoney Acres Retrievers is a small breeder of English Cream Golden Retrievers (ECGR).  Back in 2010 we saw our 1st English Cream and immediately fell in love.  We had numerous American Goldens over the years, and loved every one, but the English Cream Retriever enthralled us with both their beauty and their mellow dispositions.
The following spring our Libby was born and started our passion and our interest in these wonderful dogs; thank you to all who have helped us pursue our dream.

My adult dogs complete medical screening and health clearances before entering my program.  I use European lines that are known for l
ongevity, show quality, field services and therapy work in order to provide the best genetic potential for your puppy.  I use the neurostimulation biosensor program developed by the military for your puppy which helps to give you a smart, easily trained and highly socialized pup (please see the Bio-Sensor Program page on my site for detailed information).

Gunner, Birke, Yana and Talia are imported with many champions in their bloodlines.   Everyone who meets my dogs fall in love and our puppies have inherited the wonderful mellow dispositions of their parents.  Please feel free to read the info below which outlines nicely the difference between the European Goldens and the American Goldens.

AMERICAN GOLDEN RETRIEVER vs ENGLSH CREME GOLDEN RETRIEVER
The English Creme is a coined term to differentiate the breeding qualities between the American and the English Goldens.  Other names are English Cream Golden Retrievers or White Golden Retrievers, European-style Golden Retrievers, Imported Golden Retrievers, British Golden Retrievers or simply English Creams.  If you'd follow all technical correctness, the English Cream Golden Retriever is basically "a Golden Retriever bred to the KC standards" and an American Golden Retriever is "a Golden Retriever bred to the AKC standards".  The difference of these breeding standards are as follows:

The English Cream Golden Retriever comes with: A Straighter Topline, A Protruding Chest, A Darker Nose, Rounder Eyes, A Broader Head, A Stockier Build, A Lighter Coat Color.  The American Goldens have longer fur and a thicker coat.  English Creams have relatively shorter coats and tend to be wavier.
The cream color was introduced starting in 1936.  The AKC recognizes that there are multiple shades as pictured above.
Studies show that English Cream Golden Retrievers have a 23% less chance than standard Golden Retrievers of getting cancer. The median age of American Goldens is 10 years and 8 months, while the median age for English Creams is 12 years and 3 months.

WHICH BREED STANDARD IS BETTER?
The answer truly lies in the eye of the beholder. As you can see, the different standards in breeding are generally all with an aesthetic purpose in mind. Some people like their Retrievers in rich golden color while others prefer a creamy light color. AKC and KC retrievers have rather different facial features; hence, it may be completely up to the very moment of entering the breeder’s home or store and you fall in love with either one of them on the spot. Regardless, Golden Retrievers in general are fun, loving, and perfect family dogs. They are great around children and are acclaimed for their superior intelligence with the capability to memorize and understand around 240 human expressions, words or phrases.

English Cream Retrievers
Every Family should have one

Here at Stoney Acres we strive to bring you quality puppies to become new additions to any family. We have puppies all over the USA: WI, MN, Illinois, Indiana, California, Alaska, Indiana, N.Y, and AZ.
Our dogs come from champion blood lines..  These dogs are often referred to as "White Goldens" or " English Cream Retrievers", and have been featured many times on Jimmy Fallon as well as the movie Santa Paws.
There are 2 major breed standards in the Golden Retriever world - one is the AKC and in the U.S. registry English Cream Goldens are registered as Golden Retrievers.  However, in the KC (British Kennel Club) the standard "English Cream Golden Retrievers" is the most common name given to the light colored European Goldens.  On our "about" page, we have a nice article about the differences between American Goldens vs English Cream Goldens. The European Golden Retriever is a Golden Retriever with a boxier head and body, and light in color.
The bottom line is that our English Cream Retrievers have the wonderful calm disposition of a Golden, with gorgeous looks - what more could you ask for as a family pet.
We usually only have one litter /year.  Our puppies are raised with love and undivided attention for 8 weeks.  We do early neurological stimulation from Day 3 to Day 14, and then continued socialization and attention until they go to their furever homes.  And full support from us for a lifetime.  Many of our families have become our best friends, and we hope you do as well!
